Carhartt WIP Sedimental Works: Multicolor

About This Piece
A small-format publication marking 50 years of the Active Jacket. Developed with ILL-STUDIO, it looks at the garment’s long cultural life through a mix of writing and visual interpretation, moving between fact and fiction to reflect on how style and subculture evolve over time.

Why We Chose It
It’s a considered piece that treats clothing as more than function, looking at how a single design can sit quietly across decades of change. The mix of contributors gives it different voices and perspectives, making it less about documentation and more about interpretation.
